Tiramisu – Authentic Recipe!

  • 6 egg yolks
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup strong coffee, cooled
  • 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur
  • 1 package ladyfingers
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, whisk egg yolks and sugar until thick and pale.
  2. Add milk and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Let it cool.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold in mascarpone cheese.
  4. Combine coffee and coffee liqueur in a shallow dish.
  5. Dip ladyfingers briefly in coffee mixture and layer them in a serving dish.
  6. Spread half the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  7. Repeat layers, ending with the mascarpone mixture on top.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  9. Sift cocoa powder over the top before serving.

Notes

  • For a more intense coffee flavor, use stronger coffee.
  • Adjust sugar according to your taste preference.
