Super Cheesy Sour Cream and Chive Scalloped Potatoes

A delicious and comforting dish featuring creamy scalloped potatoes with a cheesy sour cream and chive sauce, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped chives
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the bottom of the dish.
  4. In a bowl, mix together sour cream, milk, cheddar cheese, chives, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour half of the sour cream mixture over the first layer of potatoes.
  6. Add the remaining potatoes and top with the rest of the sour cream mixture.
  7. Dots the top with remaining butter.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can include bacon bits or additional cheese on top before baking.
  • Let the dish sit for 10 minutes before serving to allow it to set.
