  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla, and mix until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
  6. Pour the batter into prepared cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  7. Let cakes cool completely before assembling.
  8. While cakes cool, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  9. Once cooled, layer cakes with sliced strawberries and whipped cream in between.
  10. Top with additional strawberries and whipped cream before serving.
