  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon coarse sea salt
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup hard cider

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add flour, melted butter, and sea salt to the mixture. Knead until smooth.
  4. Divide dough into equal pieces and shape into pretzels.
  5. Boil pretzels in a baking soda solution for 30 seconds each, then place on a baking sheet.
  6. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  8. For the dip, combine hard cider and your choice of cheddar; stir until smooth.
