  • 2 pounds chicken thighs
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup carrots, sliced
  • 1 cup celery, sliced
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place chicken in the slow cooker.
  2. Add chicken broth, carrots, celery, onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
  4. About 30 minutes before serving, cut biscuit dough into pieces and add to the slow cooker.
  5. Cover and continue cooking until dumplings are fluffy and cooked through.
  6. Shred chicken before serving.
