A rich and creamy seafood chowder featuring turkey bacon for a delightful twist.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 2 cups diced potatoes
  • 2 cups seafood stock
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup clams, drained
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the turkey bacon in a pot until crispy, then remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, sauté the onions until translucent.
  3. Add the diced potatoes and seafood stock, and bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender.
  5. Stir in heavy cream, shrimp, and clams.
  6. Season with salt and pepper, and return the bacon to the pot.
  7. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • This chowder can be made a day in advance and reheated.
  • Add more seafood variety if desired.
