  • 1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Add the applesauce, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas and mix well.
  4. In another bowl, combine the baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and whole wheat flour.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let it cool before slicing and serving.
