Juicy Greek Turkey Burger That Fits the DASH Diet

A juicy turkey burger infused with Greek flavors, perfect for those following the DASH diet.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup Kalamata olives, chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs
  • 4 whole wheat burger buns
  • 1 cup spinach or lettuce
  • 1 large tomato, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, feta, olives, onion, garlic, oregano, pepper, egg, and breadcrumbs. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form mixture into 4 patties.
  3. Preheat grill to medium heat and grill patties for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
  4. Toast the whole wheat burger buns on the grill during the last few minutes.
  5. Assemble burgers with spinach and tomato on the buns.

Notes

  • For added flavor, marinate the patties for 30 minutes before grilling.
