Japanese Egg Sandwich (Tamago Sando)

A delicious take on the classic Japanese egg sandwich, known as Tamago Sando, that’s easy to make and perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 slices soft white bread

Instructions

  1. Boil the eggs for 10 minutes, then cool and peel them.
  2. Mash the eggs in a bowl and mix in the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and salt.
  3. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  4. Place the egg mixture between two slices of bread, buttered sides out.
  5. Grill the sandwich until golden brown on both sides.
  6. Cut into halves or quarters to serve.
