French Toast Roll Ups

Delicious and simple French toast roll ups make a perfect breakfast treat for any occasion. Filled with sweet ingredients and coated with cinnamon sugar, these roll ups are a favorite.

Ingredients

  • 8 slices bread
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese

Instructions

  1. Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin.
  2. Spread cream cheese on each slice, then roll them up tightly.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon.
  4. Dip each roll-up in the egg mixture, coating well.
  5. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and cook the roll-ups until golden brown on all sides.
  6. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a shallow dish and roll the warm roll-ups in the mixture.

Notes

  • For a chocolate version, add chocolate spread instead of cream cheese.
  • Great with fresh fruit or maple syrup.
