French Onion Chicken Orzo Casserole

A delicious casserole combining French onion flavors with tender chicken, orzo, and turkey bacon.

  • 1 pound orzo pasta
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook onions until caramelized.
  3. In a large bowl, combine cooked orzo, chicken, turkey bacon, caramelized onions, beef broth, cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with additional cheese.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly.

  • For extra flavor, add herbs like thyme or rosemary.
  • Can substitute chicken for turkey or beef.
