French Onion Chicken Orzo Casserole

A warm and delicious casserole that combines the flavors of French onion soup with tender chicken and orzo pasta.

  • 1 pound chicken breast, diced
  • 2 cups French onion soup
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté onions until translucent.
  3. Add diced chicken and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in the cooked orzo, French onion soup, garlic powder, black pepper, and thyme.
  5. Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish and top with shredded Gruyere cheese.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
