Instructions

  1. In a bowl, separate the egg yolks and whites.
  2. Whisk the egg yolks with sugar and vanilla until pale.
  3. Add milk, flour, and baking powder, and mix until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the egg whites into the egg yolk mixture.
  6. Heat a skillet over low heat and add butter.
  7. Pour batter into the skillet forming thick rounds.
  8. Cover and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden.
  9. Serve warm with syrup or fruit.
