  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a round cake pan.
  2. Melt the chocolate and butter together in a double boiler over low heat.
  3. Once melted, remove from heat and whisk in the sugar, salt, and vanilla.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Fold in the cocoa powder until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool before serving.
