  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup mini chocolate eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl, then gradually add to the wet ingredients;
  5. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  6. Once baked, let the cake cool before frosting.
  7. Decorate with frosting and top with chocolate eggs to create a nest effect.
