Creamy Bacon and Mushroom Pasta

  • 8 ounces fettuccine pasta
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and crumble.
  3. In the same skillet, add olive oil and mushrooms, sauté until mushrooms are tender.
  4. Add garlic and cook for another minute.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  6. Add the Parmesan cheese and crumbled turkey bacon, mix well.
  7. Toss in the cooked pasta, season with salt and pepper.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with parsley.

  • For a lighter version, use half and half instead of heavy cream.
