Cream of Mushroom Soup

A rich and creamy soup made with fresh mushrooms and turkey bacon, perfect for a comforting meal.

  • 8 ounces turkey bacon
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove from pot and chop.
  2. Add the onions and mushrooms to the pot and sauté until onions are translucent.
  3. Stir in flour and cook for another minute.
  4. Add the chicken broth, stirring to combine, and bring to a simmer.
  5. Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream, salt, pepper, and thyme.
  6. Simmer for 10 minutes, then add the chopped turkey bacon.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • For added flavor, use a mix of wild mushrooms.
  • This soup can be frozen for later use.
