  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and crumble, leaving the drippings.
  2. Add the chopped onion and garlic to the pot and sauté until translucent.
  3. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are soft.
  4. Stir in the flour and cook for another minute.
  5. Gradually add the chicken broth, stirring to combine.
  6. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.
  7. Stir in the heavy cream and thyme. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with crumbled bacon.

Notes
