  • 1 apple, diced
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (or vegan alternative)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, bring the milk to a simmer over medium heat.
  2. Add the rolled oats, salt, and diced apple to the saucepan.
  3. Stir in the brown sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are soft and creamy.
  5. If desired, stir in the chopped walnuts for added crunch.
  6. Remove from heat and add the butter, stirring until melted.
