Cajun Potato Soup

A hearty and flavorful Cajun potato soup made with turkey bacon and chicken ham for a delicious comfort meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, diced
  • 1 cup turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup chicken ham, diced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add onion and garlic, sauté until translucent.
  3. Add potatoes, chicken ham, and chicken broth, bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat, simmer until potatoes are tender, about 15 minutes.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and Cajun seasoning, simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with turkey bacon.

Notes

  • This soup can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • For a spicier version, add more Cajun seasoning or diced jalapeños.
