Best-Ever Green Bean Casserole

A delicious twist on the classic green bean casserole with the added richness of turkey bacon.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup fried onions
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then crumble it.
  3. In a large bowl, combine green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, pepper, and half of the fried onions and crumbled bacon.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes, then top with remaining fried onions and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • This casserole can be made ahead of time and baked before serving.
  • For a vegetarian version, omit the turkey bacon.
