  2. Add the sourdough starter and salt, and mix until combined.
  3. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes, then knead for about 10 minutes.
  4. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl and cover it.
  5. Let it rise at room temperature for 4-5 hours until doubled in size.
  6. Shape the dough and place it in a proofing basket.
  7. Let it rise again for 1-2 hours.
  8. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
  9. Transfer the dough to a baking stone and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  10. Let the bread cool before slicing.

  • For a crisper crust, use a Dutch oven.
